How it works
- Turn on the steps you need and adjust them on the live preview.
- Save the combination as a recipe to use again later.
- Drop a folder and run the recipe. The folder structure stays the same.
Why the steps run in a fixed order
FolderPix always changes the ratio first, then the dimensions, then adds grain, and saves last. Adding grain before resizing would soften it, and compressing before adding grain would stack artifacts under it. The order is set so the result stays clean whichever steps you choose.
One look for every channel
A recipe is useful when a series must come out the same each time: a 4:5 crop, a light grain and a 500 KB limit for a social feed, for example. Save it once, and any folder gets the same treatment with no risk of a forgotten setting.
Questions
Where are my recipes saved?
In this browser, on this computer. They are not sent anywhere, so clearing your browser data removes them.
Can I try it before paying?
Yes. All the steps and the live preview work on any plan. Pro is needed to run a recipe and export the results.
Are my images uploaded?
No. The image is decoded and processed by your browser, on your device. FolderPix has no upload endpoint at all, and the site tells browsers to refuse connections to other servers. You can check it in the Network tab of your browser’s developer tools, or by going offline once the page has loaded.
